Taking Over In Sickbay

Mission: Prologue: First Steps
Location: Sickbay

For the first time, on this assignment, Percy stepped into sickbay. It was his first day on board the Mohawk, so he wanted to get a feel of sickbay. Some people just wanted to introduce themselves to the staff and giving the staff the opportunity to get to know him. He wanted that and more.

He walked around, running his hand over the biobeds situated in the sickbay. He looked at the monitors.

Lieutenant JG Sharon Mitchell stepped out of the supply room, and almost walked into him. He grabbed her by the arms to keep her from falling.

Once she had her balance, he let go of her. "Excuse me, doctor, I didn't see you. I hope I didn't hurt you in any way."

Percy shook his head. "Looks like we both escaped any injuries." He looked at her red hair. "I'm the new Chief Medical Officer."

"You're Dr. Morgan?" Sharon asked.

"Doctor Percy Morgan. And you are?"

"Lieutenant Sharon Mitchell. One of your nurses, sir."

Percy nodded. "Drop the 'sir' when we are in sickbay, doctor will suffice." Percy always believed that trying to keep the staff happy was to ease up on the sirs and keep to just doctor.

"Yes, doctor." Mitchell paused. "Can I give you the tour, doctor?"

"I already looked around, nurse. What's the status with supplies? Do we have everything we will need?" Morgan asked.

"Oh yes doctor, in fact, I just finished the inventory." Sharon handed him the tricorder.

Percy took the tricorder and reviewed it. "Excellent, but I would like to order more of these." He tapped the tricorder, highlighting several medicines, then handed it back.

Sharon took the tricorder, looked at his order requests, then looked up." I'll get right on it, doctor." She headed back to the supply room.

Percy headed towards his office, entered, then sat in his chair behind his desk.
